I am Alan Yung
as you can tell this from the domain name. Some of the people know my Chinese name as CHUN
SING (Cantonese pronunciation). I have quite a lot of "ad hoc"
interest but most of them need decades to accomplish. Collecting is one
of the main interest or hobby, and it branch out to stamp, post card, credit
card, bank notes, coins, tickets, ....... collectively people call them
JUNKS or Rubbish or what ever terms they like to refer them to. Maybe I
am sleeping with whole bunch of trash.
Possibly my extend family are big enough to write a story book. One
of my uncle said that a TV Drama series produced by Rediffusion TV (now
know as ATV), was actually based on our family history in the Qing
Dynasty. The story line writer was actually the classmate of one
of my grand uncle. My family was settled down at Zhong Shan county a few
hundred years ago after runaway from some natural disaster from Dun Huang
of Gansu province. Thereafter they were settled at ShiQi town in
ZhongShan of GuangDong (Canton) province. My grandfather was education
in the Langnan University in Guangzhou in 20's and and teach after he
was graduate. Grandmother was education in Guangzhou as well on teacher
colleague and she lead a group of classmate to teach in Hong Kong in
30's at Pui Ching in Kowloon. I guess both of them dead in the early
40's. My father don't even know where they were buried. In the
Nationalist era, relatives moving from ZhongShan to Hong Kong and Macao.
Finally my father was settled in Hong Kong in the 50's from Macao. I was
born in Hong Kong in the early 70's which is the era of economy take off
of Hong Kong. Living under a stable environment and I am still living in
the home where I lived for over 30 years. Although there is some discussion
in different time period, It seems that there is no body at home
dare to take initiative to really move or migrate.
I am not sure where to start to talk about myself, but I guess if you
know me you possbile did not know much about me. I know a lot of people,
but I did not make a lot of real friends indeed. At one point I have a
lot of pen pal, but now most of them are lost contact. Luckily I still
have contact with a few. It is amazing that one of them even
married to my classmate. The PO BOX I am still using is a derivative
of my secondary school pen pal crazy time. At one time, I had over
50 pen pal and I need that 33358 box to receive letters. If you are
reading this page and you have known this 33358 PO BOX, you may be one
of my old pal. I rent this box since 1987, and I have no intention to
give it up. If you like please mail to me. I mean a real letter instead
of email. It is more sincere and a kind of real touch. Of course email
or text message is more convenient these days.
Currently, my sister Ada
is trying to build a page for the family. She will talk to some the old
generation and write up our family stories. A good family tree may come
soon, I guess (hope).
Anyhow, my story should be a never ending story, but your
participation make the story more interesting and put more color to the
story.................................................
